Queen Elizabeth National Park is located in western Uganda, spanning the districts of Kasese, Kamwenge, Bushenyi and Rukungiri. It lies approximately 376 kilometres southwest of Kampala by road.

The park stretches from Lake George in the northeast to Lake Edward in the southwest and includes the Kazinga Channel that connects the two lakes.

Found in the south west, bordering Rwanda and Congo, Mgahinga comprises three extinct volcanoes and three extensive swamps. At 33.7 km², it is Uganda’s smallest National Park.

Murchison Falls National Park is located in Masindi District in western Uganda, approximately 300 kilometres northwest of Kampala. It is Uganda’s largest national park, covering about 3,840 square kilometres.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is situated in the southwestern part of Uganda, on the boundary of the Albertine Rift Valley, at elevations ranging from 1,160 m to 2,607 m. It is a genuine tropical rainforest spread over steep ridges and valleys.

Kidepo Valley National Park covers 1,442 square kilometers in the Karamoja region in northeast Uganda. The park is a rugged savannah landscape dominated by the 2,750 metre Mount Morungole and crossed by the Kidepo and Narus rivers.

Kibale National Park is located in the districts of Kabarole and Kamwenge, approximately 320 kilometres west of Kampala.
